Cleaning Vinyl Tile Flooring
Vinyl tile flooring is one of the best and easiest flooring choices for your kitchen. We have vinyl flooring in our kitchen and keeping it clean is pretty simple.
For daily maintenance, the most important thing you can do is clean up spills as they happen. The sooner you get to it, the easier it’ll be to get off the floor. Secondly, sweep excess dust, dirt, and crumbs when you can. Depending on the color of your flooring, it can be easy to see.
When you are ready to really get into cleaning, you’ll want to vacuum first as it’ll catch more of the little things that sweeping might not. The nice thing about vinyl is for most dirt and stains, warm water is all you need to mop with to get the dirt out. If that doesn’t work, you can add a tablespoon of clear ammonia to your water mixture. When using ammonia, make sure you rinse off the floor with another round of water to be sure it doesn’t leave a film.
When you are finished mopping, keep out of the kitchen until the floor is completely dry. Any dirt from shoes or anything else will easily streak across vinyl tile flooring because of the water, making all your hard work for naught.
